    Description

A great collection fresh from an estate. Buttons in this lot include:
3 Artillery buttons (One is a 1-piece button, backmarked ‘United States - I’m told a rare unlisted Artillery variant). One of the other two Artillery buttons has a backmark ‘Waterberry Scoville & Co’.
    1 Infantry button
    2 dragoon buttons
1 ‘US’ button (‘United States’ backmark; label on case says ‘GI 70 1820s Ft. King.
    1 Light Artillery ‘1’
    1 Eagle on cannon ‘Corps’
1 flat button with nice shank
1 crusty button that looks to have had glue stabilized. Can’t read back mark but snap case says ‘GI 30 1808 - 39 Ft King’ (General Infantry?)
1 really nice General Service button, undug with lots of gold.
All fall between the War of 1812 to the pre Civil War era, with the exception of the general service button (I think - it may be post CW). Pictures are of exactly what you’ll receive. Please closely review the pictures provided for any details about condition, type, period, etc. Any questions please ask!
This is a great mix which would make a great gift for the collector or historian interested in different types of US military buttons including those worn in The War of 1812, the war with Mexico, and Civil War as there is lots of research that can be done on these (recovered mostly in Florida and neighboring states although odd ones from Fort Meade). I ship worldwide; please after purchase send me a message and I’ll invoice you. I also combine shipping if you message me after purchase.
Please check out the multiple auctions I’ve listed and will be listing to include additional buttons, Civil War/Confederate bullet molds, 19th century percussion accoutrements, period military relics, etc. Thank you!!
