Description
A great collection fresh from an estate. Buttons in this lot include:2 Artillery buttons. One is a 1-piece button with ‘United States’ backmark.
1 Infantry button
2 I think are called general service.
1 dragoon can’t make out back but if you had a book could probably figure it out. Front is worn but visible.
1 ‘US’ button from war of 1812 to Mexican War. The backmark appears to be ‘United States’.
1 Rifleman but no back intact front
1 early Eagle may gave been artillery but shield worn down. Nice back easily make out ‘Robinson’s’. Small hairline crack on front but hard to see
2 unknowns but I see makers marks on backs of both and shanks.
1 large civilian type I see ‘Treble’ and ‘Extra’ on the back. Gap on front as shown.
All fall between the War of 1812 to the pre Civil War era, and none are later. Pictures are of exactly what you’ll receive. Please closely review the pictures provided for any details about condition, type, period, etc. Any questions please ask!
This is a great mix which would make a great gift for the collector or historian interested in different types of US military buttons including those worn in The War of 1812, the war with Mexico, and Civil War as there is lots of research that can be done on these (recovered mostly in Florida and neighboring states although odd ones from Fort Meade). I ship worldwide; please after purchase send me a message and I’ll invoice you. I also combine shipping if you message me after purchase.
Please check out the multiple auctions I’ve listed and will be listing to include additional buttons, Civil War/Confederate bullet molds, 19th century percussion accoutrements, period military relics, etc. Thank you!!
