INFO.THAT CAME WITH ITEM WHEN ADDED TO OUR MUSEUM: “
You are bidding on this old, leather, black powder pouch that was purchased from a local Estate Sale along with some other early Black powder Items (see other Auctions). The entire piece is approx. 13" long while the original, wood stopper is intact and fits nice & snug. The leather strap is intact while the pouch does have a hole on the 1 side (see last picture) and what looks like a early repair along the side (see pics). It also has some surface wear while the leather is still soft/supple. Still a nice, old piece

the grand kids have told me that they have no interest in any of the collections in the family’s traveling museum-- MOCAPA. A bit disappointing to hear but well understood in the 21st century. Plus, for me, collecting lacks the attraction that it had in years past as well as the steward collectors. Thanks, joe
