    Description

Here is a pair of US General Service buttons. They both have the UNITED STATES backmark. The coat button was struck on an older flat button and the old backmark is faintly visible (SUPERIOR....COLOUR?). Tice GEN199B1 and Bs1. 19.4mm and 14.9mm. These are dug buttons I got in a collection and they have a nice, detailed, matching patina. Slightly bent shank on the coat size. Made in the 1820s, these great coat buttons are occasionally found at Civil War sites and western forts. These two buttons will be shipped in a riker case for preservation and display. I accept returns if the buyer is not completely satisfied.  Check out the hundreds of other military, historical and vintage postcards in my EBay store. Thank you for looking.
