This unit provides
a controllable
firing signal for CO2 RF (radio frequency) excited lasers requiring 5 to15kHz 5VDC to 9VDC PWM Square Wave Signals.
This unit allows precise power adjustment of your laser beam power from 0 percent (pre-"tickle" level,  up to about 95 percent of the laser tube's capacity.
Here is a very capable compact controller with similar functions as the Synrad UC1000 or UC2000, this unit provides pulse signal power control for the Synrad 48 series, Firestar i401 and V30 series, and t60 model CO2 lasers
(which by design are all triggered to lase by a low amperage regulated 5vdc PWM 5khz (nominal- up and beyond 15kHz) square wave signal.
It can operate on an external 6 to 9V battery for quick field operation or diagnostics, or while connected to a common "wall wart" 120VAC to 6 to 9VDC power adapter.
A female receptor cable is supplied to connect this unit to your standard 5.5mm 6V to 9VDC wall adapter. (Test your power first with a digital voltmeter for correct positive and negative polarity).
A single knob serves to both turn on and off the laser ionizing signal and to adjust output signal pulse level which determines lasing power.
(Series 48 are capable of operating even above 10khz).
The capability to vary input voltage from 5 to 9 VDC can come in handy for diagnosing some laser over firing or non-firing issues.
A 6 volt DC 800 to 2000ma power supply is recommended for regular or continuous use. A standard 9 volt battery can be used for short term testing or operation.
Another capability is the use of a car battery - a bit of overkill and will trigger firing at a slightly lower pulse (knob) setting.
Strictly manual operation, there is no "gate" input for external computerized signal control.
Buyer of course has the option to wire the input power of this unit to external analog control, proximity switches or limit switches or sensors.
A power supply for your lasers is not included and is necessary for laser operation.
Many of these lasers require wiring to accommodate shutter, cooling and door-open lockout (proximity) switches and sensors.
