    Description

    From my personal collection amassed over the last 30 years. Great lot of British buttons from the Battle of New Orleans. I acquired these from a number of different collections.
    Lot has 17 dug buttons. Includes 3 British 43rd Regiment of Foot buttons (one is a silvered officer's piece). There are 3 Royal Artillery buttons. One General button with crossed sword and baton. Several unidentified buttons and several West India Foot Regiment buttons. Most of the West India Foot Regiment buttons are difficult to read. However, two can be made out. One is for the 8th (which my records indicate this regiment was not present at the Battle, although this button was with the 1st West India Foot Regiment in the collection I purchased). The 1st was definitely present and more importantly, there were only 700 soldiers from this regiment who served during the Battle.
    Largest button measures 19 mm.
    Includes Riker case.
