    Description

    Offered for auction is what I believe to be a Civil War era fixed blade Bowie type knife with an ornate brass handle and original leather covered wooden scabbard. The knife is in good condition for it's age with staining and light pitting on the blade. The blade measures approximately 6 1/2 inches, the knife is 11 1/4 inches overall. The scabbard is in fair condition with some loss of the leather covering at the tip and splitting at the bottom edge. I can find no identifying marks of any kind on this piece.
