Description
This is an early Eaglehead. It is circa 1805. It is Birmingham made ,possibly London. It is brass mounted with the 5 ball knucklebow and outer guard. this style of mounting went out of style about 1810. The grip is reeded bone with a small crack which is common The wide curved plain blade is in fine condition . it is still sharp and shows signs of sharpening. This officer wanted a good fighting sword and at this time it was needed. The overall length is 33 1/2' with a 28" blade . NO scabbard being of leather it is long gone. As you know Eagleheads are getting scarce especially early ones .I I offer a 100% guarantee. If you are not happy, return it within 14 DAYS, and I will give you a full refund.
