Here we offer an Elegant US Eaglehead Officers Sword circa 1830. From the craftsmanship and the style of the eagle head pommel I would say the maker was Berger of Paris. The outer langet has the head of Medusa. The grip is carved bone with one chip just above the ferrule. The blade is straight single-edged with traces of blueing and still very prominent etched designs. No scabbard being of thin leather it is long gone. the overall length is 37 " with a 32 " blade.
