All of these button were dug in the United States Legally. They are out of my Phoenix Button Collection. I have the second largest and second most complete Phoenix Button collection known to exist. I wrote a book on part of my collection

. This grouping is a great start or addition to your Phoenix Button collection. There are approximately 94 different Phoenix Buttons counting all the different regiments and the many different types and styles they came in. My collection contains almost 70 different out of the 94. It has taken me decades to collect this many different ones.
I am selling some extras from my collection in this auction.
The buttons in this auction all are the large size 25 mm. Three have their original shanks and the other two are missing them. The buttons shown here are from five different regiments. All are type 1 style 1 buttons. The five regiments of these buttons are: No. 1 Kings Regiment, No. 2 Queens Regiment, No. 6 Cap Henri Regiment, No.8 St. Marc Regiment, No. 14 Gonaives Regiment.
These buttons were made in England over 200 years ago for King Henri Christophe of Haiti. The buttons were shipped to Haiti and some may have never gotten there and were found and used as trade goods for the Native Americans in the United States. Phoenix buttons are extremely rare and many of the 18 regimental numbers only a handful exist.
