Up for sale is a
French Infantry Sabre Briquet AN French Guard Chaillot 1831 Napoleonic Sword. The sword is in good condition for its age. The blade has some minor wiggle in it but is still attached to the handle without any issues of coming off. The item is guaranteed to be Original and Authentic
On the curved back side of the blade is marked Chaillot 1831. There is a word in front of Chaillot but I can not make it out
One on side of the blade at the bottom above the guard is stamped with, what appear to be, a D. The guard also has the same D marked on the same side

Width of the blade at the fattest part near the tip 1.15
Width of the blade right about the guard 1.42"
Thickness of the blade above the guard .39" (on the backside)
Thickness of the blade at the tip .08" (on the backside)
