French M1842 Yataghan Bayonet Sword
Description:
For sale is a French M1842 "Yataghan" bayonet.  The bayonet is dated 1860 on the spine of the blade (which unfortunately has a good deal of rust) and there's a "C" stamp on the crossguard along with symbols on the reverse side, an "L" and "S" on the ricasso, and some numbers on the inside of the handle (5 36).  The bayonet measures about 27 1/2" and the scabbard measures about 23 1/4".
Unfortunately, the scabbard was spray painted gold at some point.  Condition overall is fair with pitting and rust on the blade and a missing nut piece on the end of the handle.  No international shipping for this item.
