French Naval Administration Officer Dagger Short Sword French 2nd Empire

Description

This French Naval Administration Dagger dates from the French Napoleonic Second Empire. It is mounted with a double fullered blade that measures 15 1/4 inches in length. The blade remains in good condition with only some minor surface staining. The brass guard and pommel are simple in design and frame a lovely fluted carved bone hilt that remains beautiful and healthy with no cracks or chips. The brass fitted leather scabbard is a bit dry but does remai in good condition with the stitching all tightly intact. Overall measuring 21 3/8 inches in length.
