Glaive of the National Guard or Firemen model 1855 of the French army
blade type: approx. 42.5 cm straight double-edged blade with two long grooves
frame: cast brass, with a handle with 26 grooves of ± 12.5 cm and a straight cruise of ± 9 cm
The model 1855 sword is a reduction of the model 1831 for troops on foot, used mainly by the National Guard and firefighters.
beautiful full leather scabbard, gusseted, play in the end of the scabbard (see photo), but it is fixed
oxidation on the blade (see photo)
