With nice fold out diagram of "Draft of a Manger-Stopper for Chain Cables"
Vol.1 No.2.  Including articles such as; "Traits of the Mussulman," "A Naval Reminiscence," "Hints on Manning the Navy..." "Abstract of the Treaty with Siam," "Naval Intelligence," and more.  Published in March 1836 by the United States Naval Lyceum, 212 pages.
Vol.1 No. 5, Including articles such as; "Seaman's Wages," "Rambles of Christopher Grum," "Ancient Coins & Medals..." "The Gulf Stream," and more.  Published in September, 1836.  There is an inscription along the top of the cover, I can't make out the first word, but otherwise, "....Boston, Mass."  Approx 100 pages.  No back over.
In very good condition.  There is varying degrees of scuffing, staining, tears, creases and loss of paper to the paper wraps.  The bindings are holding, several areas are
    weakened
, but no missing pages that I could see.  The pages are lightly toned, stained, or are lightly foxed.  The second volume has a few pencil marks on several pages.  The edges and corners of both wraps and pages are bumped worn and have slight tears or folds.
    Measures approx. 6" x 9 3/4"
