    Description
    Here is a nice rare 18th century iron naval boarding pike pole axe head in good condition. The polished iron surface has dark areas from age with a nicely shaped spear head and very sharp side blades which can also be seen in the photos. The spear head shape is a typical shape of boarding pike used during the 18th century. The socket shows signs of delamination when it was blacksmith made. The neck area has a ring used for storing onboard a ship. Originally from Leith docks, Edinburgh Scotland from a maritime naval collection. In total measuring 14.9 inches long and 4 inches wide. The spear point measures 3.9 inches long.
