    Description
Here is a nice rare 19th century naval boarding cutlass in good original condition. The polished steel blade's surface has a nice patina from age with it's original black painted handle and guard which can be seen in the photos. The blade has a crown over the letter "C" maker's mark. The blade does have a few nicks to it's sharp edge with a nice shape that becomes more solid towards the tip making it easier for a chopping and stabbing motion. On the end of the handle is a Ship's brass storage tag numbered "408". Originally from Leith docks, Edinburgh Scotland from a maritime naval collection. In total measuring 27.8 inches long with a 22.3 inch long blade.
