Rare Axel Hasselstrøm of Denmark cast brass door knocker in great vintage condition! Danish flag tag shows age. May need cleaning and polishing as it has its original finish and some antiquing. Each door knocker's finish varies slightly and the amount of surface antiquing varies on each one. Please see pictures and use zoom feature to enlarge. Weighs about 1 pound 12 ounces, UNPACKED! Hanging hardware not included. Has EIGHT small mounting holes, four on each floral mounting plate. Own a piece of Danish European history!

    HEAVY, RARE Vintage Axel Hasselstrøm
    Elegant Solid Cast Brass Door Knocker
    MADE IN DENMARK
    New Old Stock with original Danish tag.
    This quality door knocker was manufactured in the 1970s by
    the vintage Danish brass Maker Axel Hasselstrøm A/S.
    It is made out of solid, high quality heavy Danish-made brass.
    This is not the lightweight, thin, low-quality brass that comes
    from places like India, China, Mexico and Pakistan.
    See the Danish flag tag that says "Messing"
    Messing is Danish for brass.
    Door knocker has an aged brass finish with some antiquing to it.
    Features an elegant twisted brass bar attached to
    an upper floral mounting piece.
    Has a second separate brass floral piece that serves
    as the knocker plate.
    The heavy bar striking on the decorative floral plate makes a
    deep resounding knocking sound.
    Approximate Measurements:
    7-1/8 Inches Tall
    Width: About 3 Inches Wide at Top Flower, which has the widest points
    Protrudes about 2-1/4 Inches Out (Deep)

    What a find!
    Imported from Denmark directly by my parents, who were importers.
    I will be listing multiple door knockers that were found inside a
    wooden crate with their original Danish plastic bags and tags on them.
    I removed the plastic bags to take detailed pictures.
