    Description

    Offered is a rare large 2-piece US Artillery ‘A’ button from approximately the War with Mexico through the Civil War. Backmark appears to be ‘Scovills & Co Superfine’. It has an intact shank as shown. The front has minor environmental damage to one arrow. The case back is marked ‘AY-74 Ft Meade’. In addition is a piece of an early US uniform fabric, excavated with numerous 1-piece silver plated Artillery buttons (those buttons not included). This is a unique relic and piece of history from Fort Reid! What a chance to get two relics from two historic forts!
