Rare 1864 Veteran Medal for the Prussian-Danish War - Prussian/Austrian Alliance

Description

This is an extremely rare and highly collectible German and Austrian veteran alliance commemorative medal for the long forgotten 1864 Prusso-Danish war in which Prussia and Austria were allies against Denmark.  Face of the medal has the initials beneath the crowns of the two reigning Kaisers at the time of the conflict, Prussian Kaiser Wilhelm I and Austro-Hungarian Kaiser Franz Joseph.  On the backside is the inscription "To our brave warriors 1864".  Medal is in very good condition and is an amazing piece of history.  Kaiser Wilhelm I was the grandfather of Kaiser Wilhelm II of WW1 notoriety.  See pictures and feel free to ask any questions.
