A very good and unusual early example, having an iron mounted hilt of the form mostly typical of Indian Mughal Khanda sabers, featuring broad knuckle-bow with a reinforced central ridge for fist-striking, having carved decorations, pommel equipped with a long spike for the second hand grip assistance at combat. Grip with very fine heavy braid silver wire bodage. Mounted with a broad lightly curved blade of complex multi-fullered construction, housed in its leather scabbard with white metal mounts. Solid and intact overall, very cool braided straw wrist-band still present at the hilt.
