    RARE BOARD SABER MLE 1833 ENGRAVED
    cutlass known as "pot spoon"
    Cutlass or board, model 1833 in iron
    Curved blade engraved with a marine anchor on each side (see photos)
    Guard with a brass medallion engraved 53R
    punches
    Blade engraved "Manufacture Royage de Châtellerault, March 1841"
    this saber is in service until the end of the Second Empire.
    Consequently we find on the back of the blade the signatures: "Manufacture Royale de Châtellerault or Manufacture Impériale", these two signatures being followed by the month and year of manufacture.
