Gilt bronze.
Half-lightning pommel
Horn fuze with, in place a filigree chain, a brass ribbon
Cruise chiseled with laurel foliage.
Keyboard decorated with the crown on a background of 6 flags (with deep and stylized folds) and its 2 stars
magnificent black patent leather scabbard with two gilded brass fittings
beautiful original golden bail
this sword is in excellent condition
the handle has 98% of its original gilding as well as the gilding on the case
the blade has a few small traces of gray surface rust which represent 1% of the blade
this is an 1872 model from the so-called chiselling swords of 1817 with Manceaux system transformation (small button which allows the keyboard to be folded down)
No marking: as a general rule, general officers, marshals and other dignitaries, their saber had a particularly neat manufacture and finish, and as usual did not include any marking or punch.
The watermarked rocket is in exceptional condition!
