Rose Militia Cavalry Saber Sword

Description

Rose Militia Cavalry Sword. The sword is unmarked, due to the condition, I cannot find any markings but based on research this is extremely likely to be a William Rose Militia Sword. The grip is tight, the black wood grip has a few crack lines and twisted wire is complete. The iron hilt is solid but rusty with pitting. The blade is straight, several nicks to the blade edge, the tip has broken off, overall it is pitted with surface rust and is in relic condition. No scabbard. Length of the blade is 26" (1 1/4" wide and 1/4" thick) and overall the sword is 30 3/4". A rare and cool piece of history!
