    Description

    This original U.S. bayonet from the period 1835 - 1842 is clearly marked with US and a small "s" above it and has a steel gray look to it.  I did run my fingers over the blade and didn't feel any roughness but a smooth surface without rust. On one of the three edges on the bayonet I did feel 5 or 6 small nicks on it so please check out my photographs for a complete inspection and e-mail me with any questions.
